The Truth Behind the Woman

Teaching Fitness was never a Lifelong Dream of mine. I would be lying if I told you I wanted to teach fitness since I was a kid. Clearly, this was God's purpose for my life and He put me in this position as he saw fit. I dreaded working out "per se" when I was younger simply because I was always thin and like many people didn't feel I had a need to. It was not until the birth of my first daughter 10 years ago that I gained 70lbs and realized I would have to do something to get the unwanted excess pounds off, that just wouldnt fall off by themselves. I had somehow shed 40 of the 70lbs but still had 20-30 that had to GO! So I started consulting my aunt out of state who was a long time personal trainer in the military for advice on shedding the excess weight. Of course she said..."Well first you have to stop eating all those Doritos and start working off what you eat!" So I began taking my boom box and a jumprope to work and spend my lunch hours jumping rope in the yoga room. But after losing 15-20 more pounds I was yet at another standstill. A friend of mines referred me to a female group fitness trainer in the area that would come to our homes to train us, she successfully helped me lose the remaining unwanted pounds and eventually launched a very successful bootcamp business in our city.

After successfully maintaining my weight loss over the next couple years, I too was approached by others to help them achieve the weight loss success I'd achieved in recent years. I used my personal experience and continuous research to successfully help many others lose weight and soon became one of the hottest, most sought after trainers in the city of Cleveland. Soon after, I launched my first Fitness Camp location and within 5 years launched 2 others locations and Smoothie Bars to accommodate our growing demand! Within that 5 years also complete 2 degrees, get married, inherit 2 stepchildren and birth another beautiful baby girl. My life is full to say the least. But I must say none of this would be possible without the Man above and the humility instilled in me by my grandmother who raised me from the age of 9. I created this blog to allow those around me the opportunity to see the hard work and dedication I divulge into successfully running a growing business and growing family in this day and age. I hope to inspire someone to take a step forward in accomplishing their fitness goals and any other goals for that matter. I am truly determined to soon one day look in the mirror and be happy about the body I see before me.......TO BE CONTINUED
